Remembering Juneteenth provides an historical account of the emancipation of African Americans through negro spirituals and narratives of formerly enslaved Texans.
This work is a fully staged live performance with Q & A. Performed by Dr. Jolie Rocke, Jessica Jaye, Hindolo Bongay and Manning Mpinduzi-Mott. Be prepared to experience antebellum language from the early 1900’s through first-person accounts of the emancipated in their journey toward freedom.
