Volunteer Ushers at The Grand 1894 Opera House
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with The Grand 1894 Opera House! Volunteers play a vital role in making every performance and event a success, and we welcome those who are passionate about the arts and eager to contribute to our vibrant community. Whether you’ve always been curious to know more about The Grand, or you’re recently finding yourself with more free time: your chapter to get involved has come!
Who Can Be a Volunteer?
We’re looking for volunteers who:
- Love live entertainment and the arts
- Have excellent customer service skills
- Are friendly, outgoing, and enjoy working with others
- Support The Grand’s mission and enjoy being part of our cultural legacy
- Are at least 16 years old
Volunteer Responsibilities
As a volunteer at The Grand, you’ll have the opportunity to be part of the action by:
- Greeting guests as they arrive
- Assisting with ticket-taking and seating arrangements
- Serving as an usher to help guests find their seats
Volunteers arrive 1 hour and 30 minutes before showtime to ensure everything is in place before the performance begins.
How It Works
- Volunteers can sign up for performances of their choice.
- Assignments are given on a first-come, first-served basis.
- You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a wide variety of events, from Broadway shows to concerts and special performances.
