Accessibility at The Grand 1894 Opera House
At The Grand 1894 Opera House, we are committed to ensuring that everyone has an equal opportunity to enjoy our performances and events. We offer a range of accessibility services and accommodations to make your visit comfortable and enjoyable.
- Accessible Seating: We provide designated wheelchair-accessible seating in the Grand Tier. These seats are available for both individual tickets and group bookings.
- Accessible Entrances: The Grand offers wheelchair-accessible entrances at the main entrance, equipped with ramps for easy access.
- Elevator Access: An elevator is available to access all floors of the venue, including the orchestra, and upper levels, ensuring that all guests can comfortably navigate the space.
Sound Enhancement: For guests who are hard of hearing or have audio processing needs, we offer assistive listening devices at no charge. These devices enhance the sound quality of the performance and are available at the Box Office. Please request these devices upon arrival.
Welcoming Service Animals: We welcome service animals into the theater. Please let us know if you require seating accommodations for your service animal, and we’ll be happy to assist.
- Accessible Parking: The Grand does not have a parking lot designated for patrons, please plan accordingly and call the Box Office for support and information on the best places to look for parking in the area and be sure to allow time for parking. If you have the ADA tag or licence plate, street parking in the downtown area is free at all times.
Drop-Off Area: There is a designated drop-off area in front of the venue for guests with mobility challenges. If you need assistance, our staff is available to help you.
- Accessible Restrooms: Accessible restrooms are located on the basement and Grand Tier levels of the theater. These restrooms are fully equipped to accommodate guests with mobility challenges.
