Galveston Symphony Orchestra: Masterworks V

A WORLD PREMIERE performance of Overture, by dynamic, up-and-coming composer, Antonio Sanz Escallon. Pianist Avery Gagliano – first-place winner of the 2020 National Chopin Competition – performs Chopin’s Piano Concerto #1 (the piece that garnered Avery the “Best Concerto” prize in the competition!). We conclude the program with Beethoven’s transcendent Seventh Symphony, the piece that Beethoven considered one of his very greatest works.
