Theme - Galveston: Gateway to Cultures and Traditions
Share your culture and traditions through a banner design as part of The Grand Kids Festival banner contest. An example might be Mariachi musicians as a representation of Hispanic culture and tradition.
Design must fit within rectangular space on front of entry form. New banner format - rectangular!
Art elements preferred (no text)
Only ONE entry per student
Suggestion: Large graphic shapes and solid colors work best for banner designs.
Four winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd and Honorable Mention) will be selected from each Grade category:
Grade K-2
Grade 3-4
Grade 5-6
and Grade 7-8
First place winners from each grade category will receive a framed copy of their entry.
All Winners from each category will paint their designs on actual banner material for display on Postoffice Street.
All winners receive complimentary Kids Festival t-shirts, and tickets to the festival for their family.
Winning designs will be recreated on notecards, and each winner will receive 10 notecards featuring their design.
