Lock up your daughters, the pirates are coming to town!

One of Gilbert & Sullivan's best-loved comic operas, THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE presents favourite musical melodies such as "I am the very model of a modern Major General", "A policeman's lot is not a happy one", and "I am the Pirate King".

On the rocky shores of Cornwall, a band of orphaned pirates spy the Major General's daughters as they paddle in the sea. Smitten by these bathing beauties, the rebellious but soft-centered shipmates whip up a storm with their bold advances. Love-struck sweethearts and battles with bungling policemen meet with miraculous twists of fate in this hilarious tale of love and camaraderie.

Lavishly recreating the original period designs and costumes with exquisite detail, Carl Rosa's internationally-acclaimed production revives this hugely entertaining classic with sparkling wit, style and a sensational cast.

Packed with fun, frolics, popular songs and a live orchestra, this vibrant musical glitters with all the trimmings, offering a great night out for all the family.

'The Carl Rosa Company set the stage ablaze. Original and entertaining.'
The Evening News, Edinburgh

'A first class cast of principals, chorus and orchestra. With tremendous flourish and bravura it successfully balances scenes of genuine atmosphere and period charm. Sets, costumes, make-up and direction couldn't be more stunning... the plot and dialogue, the wit and the humour remain razor sharp'.
Aberdeen Press & Journal
