Steve has taken the art of impersonation and honed it into a science. He masterfully weaves different dialects, crazy characters, and wacky sound effects into his stories. Also included in the show are musical interludes that showcase even more of Steve’s talents. The tales take on a life of their own as Steve recounts memorable moments from his past and makes hysterical observations on timely topics.

A native of Brooklyn, Steve grew up in the multi-ethnic neighborhood of Sheepshead Bay. This was the perfect training ground for a dialectician. As the class clown and as a very authentic sounding Chinese restaurant delivery boy, Steve learned at an early age how to use his gift for imitating accents to his advantage.
In college, Steve dabbled in entertaining by emceeing events, but it was not until years later that he would pursue that ambition. Instead, he earned a doctorate in education and taught high school physics.
Using humor, dialects and sound effects in teaching, Steve was a real life version of Gabe Kaplan’s “Welcome Back Kotter.” Eventually, Steve became Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools on Long Island, New York. He also discovered he had an incredible aptitude for business.

He left this tremendous academic and business success behind and turned his attention to his latent love of making people laugh. As Steve puts it, “I was sick and tired of the regular pay-checks, the prestige and the educational glamour of an Administrator’s life so I decided to get on the road and make 30 dollars a show.”
Steve’s rise in the entertainment industry has been just as meteoric as his success in the business world. He has broken booking records by appearing at more locations, by popular demand, in a shorter period of time than any other comic.

“Still in Therapy” is his next hilarious installment in his quest to defend himself against those people whose sole purpose in life is to add chaos to his. It’s a laugh-filled fest of everybody you know, have known and some you’d want to forget but can’t; all brought to life on stage by the comic magic of Steve Solomon. Just when you thought it was safe to go back home for the Holidays....Steve brings us this new masterpiece of family dysfunction. So prepare to laugh, prepare to cry and prepare to be delighted with “My Mother’s Italian, My Father’s Jewish & I’m STILL in Therapy.”
