“GIRLS NIGHT: THE MUSICAL”
Saturday, October 9, 2010
3pm and 8pm
Follow five friends in their 30? s and 40? s during a wild and outrageous Girls? Night as they re-live their past, celebrate their present and look to the future on a hilarious karaoke night out ... and you'll recognize every one of them! Liza is beautiful and sultry. Anita is blunt and lives on the edge of a nervous breakdown. Sharon is the teenage angel who just couldn? t resist tagging along, come to find out, is not so angelic after all. Carol is a tall, blond party animal with painted-on pants and secret regrets. Kate is the funny-looking Zelda Gilroy and designated driver of the group. Each (with the exception of the angel) is totally dependant on a conventional male-female relationship for their happiness and sense of functionality.
& Much like Menopause: The Musical, director Jack Randle has apparently tapped into something primal in his audience that temporarily obliterates their inhibitions. It is a phenomenon worthy of patenting.
