A SERIOUS FUN CHILDREN'S SERIES EVENT
Charlotte's Web
Thursday, October 26, 2006
10am
Charlotte's Web, a play based on the book by E.B. White, is a loving story of the friendship between a pig named Wilbur and a little gray spider named Charlotte.
Brought to life by TheatreworksUSA, Charlotte's Web spins the tale of Wilbur - a pig with a problem. Wilbur doesn't want to wind up in the slaughterhouse and his spider friend Charlotte (a fine writer and true friend) hits on a plan to fool Farmer Zukerman and to save Wilbur. Spinning the words "Some Pig" into her web, Charlotte weaves a solution which not only makes Wilbur a prize pig, but ensures his place on the farm forever. This treasured tale explores bravery, selfless love, and the true meaning of friendship. TheatreWorksUSA cast members are uniformly excellent as Fern, the young farm girl who can talk to the animals, and the mad-cap and endearing farm animals: Wilbur, Charlotte, Mama Goose and Templeton the rat.
Enjoy life on the farm with Wilbur and the rest of the Charlotte's Web cast at The Grand 1894 Opera House.
