Celebrating the life of artist Jeff Hamachek – Painter
Jeff Hamachek left us much too soon and we are grateful that his wife, Jerri has agreed to participate in ArtWalk at The Grand in order to showcase his work. Jeff was a professionally-trained fine artist with a contemporary impressionistic style influenced by the masters, Monet and Van Gogh. He dealt primarily in the mediums of oil on fine canvas with the playful use of color and light to bring his subject matter to life. Jeff’s paintings were always influenced by his love of Galveston Island – the beach, its people, history and spirit, all serving as a continuous inspiration for him when he exhibited his work locally and throughout the region.
